Aquatic Parasite Observatory

Welcome

The Aquatic Parasite Observatory at the University of Colorado is a collaborative effort that aims to explore the diversity, distribution and pathology of parasitic infections in North American aquatic communities. We focus in particular on macroparasite infections from a variety of host species found in freshwater ecosystems, including amphibians, fishes, birds, and invertebrates. Our goals are to both examine the role of such infections in disease outbreaks and to better understand the biology of these unique organisms.
